Oh hello there…
My name’s Gretel, but most people call me Grey.
Growing up with the name Gretel kind of made stories an integral part of life. They also definitely gave me a false impression of the number of gingerbread houses I’d find, but I’m still hopeful for that.
From the very beginning, I’ve just always loved words. I love that I can get transported to different worlds, change my perspective, and learn new things just by the way letters are arranged in front of me. I love more that I get to be the one arranging them every single day for other people.
I’ve been a “professional writer” for over over a decade. After graduating uni, I jetted to NYC to write film scripts at the New York Film Academy. I then swapped the Big Apple for the Big Smoke and started working in London, and fell deeper in love with this craft. I’ve hopped all over different sectors like recruitment advertising, sustainability, food and bevs, healthcare, fashion, and most recently the youth sector.
My passion is telling the stories that make a lasting, positive impact, and make people feel seen.
